Montclair is a 1,620 acre community of single family homes and townhomes. There is a 108 acre lake with 3 beaches. Dolphin Beach, the largest of the three has a nice wide beach, picnic tables, a large playground, and a roped off swimming area manned by lifeguards during the summer. Small boats up to 6HP may be used on the lake. There are miles and miles of sidewalks for strolling along and enjoying the community and the beautiful weather
There are numerous events for all ages including Montclair Day, 4th of July parade and fireworks, aTeen Beach Party, and an Adult Beach Party. There also is a private country club within the community with a golf course, swimming pool, and tennis courts.
There are multiple neighborhoods that make up Montclair. One of those communities, Southlake of Montclair has their own Recreation Center which includes a park with a playground. Members of Montclair can become members of the Southlake Pool and Rec Center.
In addition to everything else Montclair is bordered on the south by Prince William Forest National Park with 37 miles of hiking trails and 21 miles of bicycle – accessible roads.
Commuting
Montclair is conveniently located with easy access to I-95,Viriginia Railway Express (VRE), and commuter bus routes. .
- It's a short trip from Montclair to the commuter parking lot at Route 234 and US 1 to board the express commuter bus to the PENTAGON and WASHINGTON, DC
- The same parking lot is home to a SLUG LINE with rideshare opportunities to both the Pentagon and Washington, DC locations
- Quantico Marine Base, The Crossroads of the Marine Corp, is only 6 miles away and Ft Belvior, the Pentagon and other military installations in the greater DC area are when easy commuting distance
